The dawn of online classes

Dramatic opening aside, let’s get to the topic at hand students.

I am too distracted…..

It is very boring….

My eyes and head hurt….

Well, the Vawsum team doesn’t disagree, but the reality is such that this is the new normal and the most viable option is to adapt. This too shall pass with the help of Vawsum!

Designate a study space

This is one of the most essential tips. Your study space must be exclusive for studying and attending your online classes. Keep it clean and organized. Ensure that everything you need is available here so that you don’t have to get up too often and fall prey to distractions.

Eliminate Distractions

By that, We basically mean your phone. One notification and your hand reach out for it. If you don’t pay attention to what your teacher is saying, you probably won’t retain what he/she is teaching. So, keep your phone out of sight, inside the cupboard, under your bed, doesn’t matter, just stay away from it for the duration of your class.Try to attend your online classes through laptops/computers only.

In case, you are using your phone to attend your classes, then put it on Do Not Disturb Mode, that way notifications won’t trouble you.

Protect your eyes

It is very important that you protect your eyes from the screen’s blue light. Sit at a distance of at least 16 inches from the screen. If possible, get a computer glass. Do not forget to blink. Sit in a well-lit room and reduce screen brightness.

Exercise

A bit of cliche advice, but is important. Your body has to get that blood flowing all the way to your brain by defying gravity. Although your heart is capable of doing so, it would be amazing if it is assisted with a gush of adrenaline. Exercising will also make you feel good and will clear your head, helping you concentrate. Here is a basic routine you can follow.

Maintain a checklist

It is difficult to remember everything you have to do when you have a lot of tasks at hand. Write down your tasks as and when you get them and cross them off when you are done. Google Calendar is a good app that keeps you on track. You can schedule your calendar and set reminders so that you don’t miss anything.

Online Classes can be a big challenge for students and we really hope that these tips help you out to get through your online classes successfully .It is also important to remember that this is a temporary situation and everything will eventually go back to normal.
